Thought for the Day...
If our people will faithfully attend the temple the Lord will bless them in the following ways:
1. Greater love and unity in the home,
2. Business and professions will prosper,
3. Their children will be saved,
4. Angels will protect them.

This weeks activities...
Sisters,
Here are this weeks activities:
Tuesday- 9:30 a.m. Scripture class, Eva Garlick's. Lesson 11 Samuel www.sistersatthewell.org
Wednesday- 7:30 p.m. Scripture Class, Eva Garlick's. Lesson 11 Samuel www.sistersatthewell.org
Just a reminder to put on your calendars for next week:
Relief Society Activity Thursday April 22nd 7:00. We will be having dinner, and President Scorsbey will be speaking to us.
Sisters, we know we have asked for support for the Humanitarian project for quite awhile now. Many of you have been very supportive and helped us immensely. We are so grateful. As you know, we are now asking for money to finish the project. We have received about $200. We calculated it out, and we need over ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS. So yes, we are $800 short!
We know that you are busy and have many things on your plate, but there is more that needs to be done. If you find it in your ability to help out, we would appreciate cash donations as soon as possible.
Have a great week!
Love,
The Relief Society Presidency

Blessing Lives...
A Special Reminder:
All Relief Society Sisters and Laurels are invited to join us on May 8, 2010 from 10:00 – 12:00 am for the culminating event of the Highland South Stake Humanitarian Service Project. We will begin our morning with a special guest speaker from Armenia Nara Sarkissian. Following our speaker we will join together in the Cultural Hall to tie quilts, assemble the Hygiene and School kits. We will also be serving a buffet brunch throughout the morning.
A Special Thank You:
We want to thank everyone for your commitment and dedication to the Highland South Stake Humanitarian Project. The efforts of our Primary Children, Youth, Priesthood Brethren and Relief Society Sisters will bless many lives as we emulate the Saviors example of love, service and sacrifice. We can truly become a Zion people as it says in Moses 7:18. “And the Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness: and there was no poor among them.”

Relief Society Activity Changes
We as a RS presidency have been concerned that we may not be meeting the needs of you sisters in our ward with the interest groups. Therefore, we have prayerfully considered what changes we might make to facilitate more participation and help meet your needs. We feel that the simplest way for us to meet more needs and be more consistent, easier to remember, is to go back to having one large RS activity every month. In doing so, we hope it will be easier to remember and to attend. We want to simplify all of our lives and still help develop our testimonies, help strengthen our families, allow us to lean new talents and strengthen us as a ward Relief Society.
We feel a great love for each of you and we feel that we as sisters need each other's love and support. We hope that as we have one large, wonderful activity each month we will grow in unity and love in our ward
The next Relief Society activity will be April 22nd 7:00 at the church. We will have a dinner and President Scoresby will be speaking.

Humanitarian Project Update...
We are now down to crunch time for gathering supplies for the Humanitarian Project. We need everything by May 1st. We are now asking for monetary donations. If you have donated already, we really appreciate it! However, we are still lacking. If each family could donate $20.00 we could complete the project. Please use a tithing slip and put it in the "Other" category as Stake Humanitarian Project. We will take the money and buy the supplies at a reduced rate from Mandalay International. Just as a reminder, the stake has asked each ward to provide the supplies for 200 hygiene kits, and 200 school kits. Again, we thank all of you that have helped already, and encourage all of you to help us complete the project.
