Thought for the Day...

"I come to you with a plea that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life we try to "accentuate the positive. I am asking that we look a little deeper for good, that we still our voices of insult and sarcasm,
that we more generously compliment virtue and effort."
President Gordon B. Hinckley

We hope you have a great day!

The size of fabric and 8 oz batting needed is: Single 72 x 90 in. and Double 90 x 90 in. We are looking for Cotton, Cotton-Poly blend or flannel. School & Hygiene Kits

Many of you asked for the information for Mandalay International. This is a company that sells the items needed for the hygiene and school kits at discounted prices. If your family circumstances permit, we would like to see families use this project to teach their children about service and giving. We would suggest that families make it a sacrifice to donate the money or supplies. This may be that you don't go out to eat or to a movie as a family once or twice, or find other ways to do service and earn money to purchase the necessary items. However, everyone in our ward is different. Because of time, or family circumstances, it may not be necessary nor practical for you to purchase and donate supplies yourselves. For that reason, we are more than happy to accept donated money and do a group order. If you choose to donate money, please fill out a tithing slip and, (this is important!!!), mark it under OTHER, and write Stake Humanitarian Project.

We know that your families will be blessed as you try to give to others. For some, it is a great sacrifice to participate in this project, but we become more like Christ and more grateful when we give of what we do have.
